Nicholas is having a good day. His chest x-ray looked better today, and, they have decided to extubate him tomorrow morning. They are going to do it first thing to really watch him closely throughout the day to make sure he tolerates it. He will be going on Biphasic CPAP which is a step between the ventilator and CPAP. We hope and pray that he will do ok with it and be done with the ventilator in this lifetime. Denise got to hold him today. Her true day is tomorrow but with all they will be doing, they decided to let her hold him a day early. She was thrilled for the opportunity. He continues to tolerate his 10 cc, 24 calorie breast milk, which is great. We'll keep you posted on the outcome of tomorrow morning.
