Things are going well with the three of us. Nicholas continues to be a good eater and is getting bigger every day. He took his first commercial flight last week. We flew one way to Cleveland; a quick, one hour flight. He did great. We had his bottle ready for take off and landing and in between, he slept. We were impressed. He is eating cereal two to three times a day and is learning how to blow bubbles which is fine unless he has a mouth full of food; then, it's not too funny for the Mom feeding him.

We are both back to work full time. It's been a transition, but, Nicholas's nanny is working out well. She helps keep the house in order when Nicholas is napping, which helps us out. Their favorite pass time is going to the park, lying on a blanket, and looking up at the tree and clouds.

Some of Nicholas's Rasmussen cousins came to visit for the weekend. We had a nice time and were reminded of the importance of a schedule. Missing a morning nap can create a bit of a breakdown mid afternoon, even for a 4.5 + monther. Nicholas can't wait to visit them to watch them play hockey and soccer.

We hope you are enjoying the last days of summer and for those that are still in school, good luck with the school year. The summer really flew by.

  1. That's great to be an experienced flyer now Nicholas. A lot of super places around this globe to go see, including a Florida trip and maybe Aruba. No need to fly to Iowa City as you would be in the airports longer than it would take to drive.
You look great with that Yankees hat. Glad that the Twin Cities family got over to visit all of you too. They, along with the Rochester folks, can show you how to play soccer so when it's your turn you will be ready to star also. Good to hear that your nanny is taking you out for the sun and fun. Hope the Moms can cope at the job without having you there. But, it's hard to leave such a lovable one with someone else. Next week starts the regular college football season so you will have to get that Hawkeye gear on and cheer.
    Thanks for the update Moms.

  3. Tell Momma Ras that we hope she had a super birthday and that you gave her a great big hug and kiss for the birthday.
Hope it was a good one Denise. Sorry we didn't get that deal for the property in Aruba closed to give you for your special day. Maybe next year.
